Using Your Mobile Media Device To Connect You To The Internet

Old School Tethering

New School Tethering
Using your mobile media device to connect to the Internet is really a great way to get connected when there’s no hot spot in sight.
If you are out in a rural area or away from a hot spot, look to your phone to save the day. By connecting or tethering your phone to your laptop or PC you can have internet access anywhere. Any phone with broad band access allows you to tether, and this can be done with a USB cable, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Mobile Media Providers
There may be a few difficulties because your wireless provider is holding the cards on this access. Some providers will not allow you to tether. The reasons for that are some people try and download too much data. When people tax the system it creates problems for the cellular networks. There are providers that allow you to do it, but they will charge you for it. AT&T requires a tethering plan for the iPhone, for example. That will cost you $20 a month extra.
When using tethering it is best to use it for small jobs like email or instant messaging. You really do not want to use your cellular plan to down load music and video, you would surely go over you data plan and have to pay the piper at the end of the month and that would make tethering loose it’s cool luster very quickly.
The actual tethering process used to be quite difficult; however some manufacturers have made it a lot easier now. Smart phone have easy access to hookups just for this task.
Mobile Media On The Move
So, as we become more and more mobile the manufactures are helping us to maintain connectivity, as for them , they have created another income stream from this additional use of the cell phones. However, being connected to the Internet is essential to our business these days so I guess in the end it is a win/win proposition.

So, you think you can make it in this business, but you been doing it for awhile, and have had little success. Maybe you have been working on your blog or you have been on Facebook and made a few friends. Well, it is going to take more than that. It will take a proven technique and a lot of focus. The only way to make it in this business it to get started on something that is working and then stick with it long enough to see if it works for you. “Well, what if it doesn’t work and I fail?” It is not failure it is only feedback.

What is RSS Feed and how does it work?
Posted on April 21st, 2010 View Comments
What is RSS Feed and how does it work? That is a good question. Many people have a basic understanding of what it is, however, they don’t know the best way to use it.Who uses feeds? USA Today, BBC News, ABC New and on and on… so why not You. This is a great way to ensure that people who are interested in you stay interested in you. You want to give them ample opportunities to subscribe so that you can be there for them when they are looking for some information or advice.
Like wise, you want to subscribe to sources of information that keeps you informed without taking you hours to search and find it.
.
The reason that you want people to follow your personal or business blog RSS is you want people to know who you are. People join people that they know, like and trust. What better way for them to get to that point than to be reading your blog.Click on my RSS Feed and keep connected to me!
Happy Trails…..

What is peace?
Posted on March 22nd, 2010 View CommentsWhat is Peace? In this personal development post, the question is: Do we find peace, do we make peace or do we choose peace. Well, in Matthew Ferry’s words:
“Most people are concerned with two aspects of peace. Peace in the world and inner peace. Choosing peace in every aspect of life will simultaneously assist the world in achieving peace. In the end they are one in the same. When you choose peace, you declare yourself an agent of change. Choosing peace means letting go of pre-programmed negative reactions to the world like anger, resentment, righteousness, domination and retaliation. This commitment leads to the second type of peace.
Inner peace is a quality of knowing that all is well in the world… Read the rest of this entry »

The History of Advertising
Posted on November 12th, 2009 View CommentsAdvertising has been a way of sharing ideas and getting the “word out” about products and/or services from the beginning of time, or at least since we have been trying to communicate. The first signs of advertisement can be dated back almost 25,000 year ago on the walls of the caves in the hills of France. These were Stone Age people advertising the hunting prowess to their fellow hunters. Moving ahead in time to Babylon around 3500 B. C., sketches where drawn on soft clay tablets and set with a runner to advertise to the neighboring clans letting them know what they had to trade or other descriptive information.
