Hey Kathy,
Great post and a much discussed topic. Branding is something that most new people to marketing, online or offline, don’t understand.

A product is a product is a product. People buy from people they know. If you don’t establish that connection, the sale is probably gone.

Great listing of how to get the process going. Yes, if we all follow Mr. Dillard’s example the world would be a much better place.

So true Kathy,

Not only do you have to have:

1. A personal blog It should read, YourName.com
2. Social networking sites. Such as: Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, Direct Matches
3. Article marketing
4. Ezine advertsing
5. PPC marketing
6. SEO for you site
7. Customizable websites and capture pages (not replicated sites)

But as you say, they must be connected like a web to work correctly.

With the internet world turning more into the Vegasy, Times Square advertisements everywhere, branding and personal branding is becoming more and more of a necessity. Relationships are what closes sales and brings in new partners.
