  • Personal Development A Journey

Posted on Timeless Kathy Sammons 7 comments

My personal development journey started back in the late 1970s.  The first books that I remember reading on this subject were I’m OK, You’re OK, by Thomas A Harris MD , which was a best seller for over 2 years and sold more that 15 million copies and As a Man Thinketh a literary essay by James Allen, published in 1902.  Both of these books opened up a new way of thinking for me. Many years went by as I continued to search for good material to further my inter personal development.  There was a turning point in 2005 when I was introduced to Matthew Ferry.  Matthew had been a trainer for his dad’s real estate business in CA.  After training over 1800 agents he discovered something that changed his way of training forever:

Hey Kyle thanks for coming by. I appreciate your comment. There is a phrase that I have memorized and that I intend to say every day… “I am willing to do whatever it takes, no matter what, to make myself better and better, everyday and every way.” I hope all is well with you.nPeace…nKathy

Monitoring what we are think and asking about the thought is a very powerful technique. Sometimes our lives are like we are a sleep and don’t really know what we are thinking.nnPerry A Davis JrnMusic City USA

I agree with you on that, many of us are truly asleep at the wheel of life. :) rnrnI make every effort to listen to the chatter in my mind because it tells more about what is going on at the unconscious level, which has more to do with our actions than our conscious mind does. It is really quite scary for some people to finally get to that understanding, realizing that they cannot always control how we initially feel about something and that our thoughts are nothing more than chemical reactions. Some people think that they are their thoughts, yikes! rnrnHowever, where we win is in the analysis and redirection of our thoughts, reactions and feelings!!!rnrnThanks for coming by,rnrnKathyrnMobile Media Marketing The Wave of The Future
