Personal Development – Become One With Your Word

In my blog I talk about internet marketing, debt reduction and personal development. Today I am adding something about personal development, an area that we should all be active in.

Within each of us is a core belief that our words speak volumes about who we are. Can you honestly say to yourself that you always keep your word? Do you let yourself slide when you make a commitment to others and yourself. Do you make up excuses that make you feel better, even though deep down you really don’t feel good about not keeping your word? It is always so easy to say you will do something and then at the last minute say you’re tired, you don’t have time to do the thing you said you would, you claim that it is unimportant now, and on and on as the excuse train of not following through takes off from the station of your mind, and you justify your decision to not keep your word.

Where do you find yourself not following through on what you say? Can you see a pattern in this behavior? The very fact that you commit to something will set in motion a series of events that will always lead to a fulfillment of a thought, as long as you Become One With Your Word and follow through on what you say. This is the law of commitment. Become what it is YOU want to be, and what you want will always be YOU.

This lack of follow through is not an isolated incident, we all do it. The good news is that we all have the power of choice to make the decisions that support us staying in integrity with ourselves and others. It is when you keep your word that the power of being who you are shines through. There is a beauty and magnificence of following through on what you say that sets in motion a creative process that brings forth all the excellence that you are. To be a person of his or her word is one of the most desirable things anyone can do.

Become One With Your Word in all you do and watch as everything around you seems to blossom and grow, because you are watering the garden of your LIFE with integrity, commitment, and an unstoppable determination of success. You are standing up for who you are.

If necessary, I hope that this raises your awareness of your commitment habits. I am sure that most of us could use some motivation to take a look at how we operate. I will leave you with a quote, although I am not sure where it came from, I though that it fit this post very well.

  You are right actions speak loader than words, however, if they do not do what they say there are not actions and so the same eventuality occurs and you realize this person is not one that you are going to want to ever have to depend on.
