  • Which One Are You Feeding?

Posted on July 25th, 2010 Kathy Sammons View Comments

An old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside all
people.  He said, ‘My son, the battle is  between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy,  jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,…
self-pity, guilt, resentment,  inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness,
benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
‘Which wolf wins?’ The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’

Which one are you feeding?  Spend some time today thinking about this and when a situations comes to mind that you are dealing with, ask the question, which wolf is being fed by this and how do I need to change it so that the “good” wolf wins out.

Remember, if you do not like what you see in life, change your perspective, it really is your choice.

    Happy Trails,

    • Oh Kathy, I just love this! I am learning to feed the good one through personal development. Never understood the importance of personal development until I was at my wit's end and Linus suggested some materials.

      Gotta keep growing!

      Hey Kathy.
Excellent post on mindset. Many people fail to understand the impact of both what they do and what they don't do.

I have not heard this analogy before but I will pass it on. Thanks for sharing.

      To Your Continued Success,
      Bill
    • Thanks for stopping by Bill.
